Sometimes it’s something big. Sometimes it’s simply the accumulation of ordinary life. These moments aren’t evidence that something has gone wrong with us. They’re part of being human.
The category
Mental fitness is the daily practice of building emotional and psychological capacity, much like physical fitness builds physical capacity. It is not about peak performance. It is about building the capacity to be present for the full range of your actual life — and to meet those moments with greater awareness, steadiness, and choice.
Not so that life never gets hard. So that we have more capacity for ourselves, each other, and the lives we’re actually living.
You don’t have to master being human.

Sutton brings psychology into everyday language. Through honest stories, humor, clinical insight, and practical application, she helps people understand what’s happening beneath the surface — and what they can practice when insight alone isn’t enough.
Her talks create room for people to recognize themselves without feeling judged, while leaving with practical tools they can use in their actual lives — at work, at home, in a relationship, in the car, or in the moment they are standing in.

Sutton’s talks and workshops turn these ideas into practical tools people can use in their work, relationships, leadership, and everyday lives.
Being human at work
People arrive carrying real lives: ambition, relationships, family concerns, health issues, grief, financial pressure, stress, cultural differences, uncertainty. And they’re working alongside other people carrying lives of their own.
These aren’t signs that people or organizations are failing. They’re part of what happens when real people work together.
Sutton helps leaders and teams build practical skills for emotional intelligence, regulation, resilience, communication, difficult conversations, and the moments that don’t fit neatly inside a policy manual.
The Now We Play framework
Three connections. One practice for returning to your life.
Connect Up
To G-d, meaning, spirituality, gratitude, awe, and something greater than yourself.
Connect In
To yourself: your body, mind, and emotions. Notice what is here. Allow it to be there. Listen for what you need.
Connect Now
To the present moment, your people, your purpose, joy, play, and the life that is actually happening right now.

The book
Mental Fitness for Everyday Life
A book you don’t just read. You practice.
For nearly two decades, Sutton helped people navigate the complicated, uncomfortable parts of life. Along the way, she confronted something herself: knowing what makes a meaningful life isn’t the same as actually living it.
Part personal story, part therapeutic wisdom, part practical guide, Now We Play explores what it means to feel instead of avoid, loosen our grip on control, care for our minds and bodies, deepen our relationships, connect to spirituality and meaning, and make room for joy, awe, and play. Not as another list of things to perfect. As practices we return to.
“Now We Play invites readers into a process of openness and discovery that deepens both self-awareness and personal growth. This is not simply a book to read; it is an experience to be engaged.”
Take the practice further
Practical tools for real life.

Use it when you are overthinking. When you are overwhelmed. When you are avoiding something. When you are reacting instead of responding. Or when you simply want to feel more present in your life.

Meet Sutton
Sutton Burke, MS, LCPC, is a clinician, author, speaker, mental health advocate, and founder of Infinite Mindcare.
For more than fifteen years, she has worked with people in the moments when life gets complicated. Her work sits at the intersection of psychology and aliveness: how we feel instead of avoid, communicate more honestly, care for our minds and bodies, deepen our relationships, connect to meaning, and make room for more presence, joy, awe, and play.
Her mission is simple
To connect people to the beauty of being alive.
And she doesn’t teach any of this from the position of having mastered it. She practices it too. Daily, imperfectly, in real life.
